5 Ways to Get Your Kids Excited for a Photo Session

#1 Rewards

It might sound silly but rewarding/bribing your little ones is one of the best ways to keep them attentive and smiling at a photoshoot. You can reward them with their favorite candy or food. This is easy, cheap, and your kid will stay happy! I recommend gummy worms or anything that isn't going to melt like chocolate.

#2 Bring Their Favorite Toys

Bringing their favorite toy is another great way to keep them happy and occupied during the photo shoot. Your little ones might get bored during the photoshoot and will want something to do. This will also make the car ride to your location a little easier.

#3 Bring a Device

This goes along with the toys, this will keep them occupied on the way to the photoshoot and during the photoshoot. Plus this will usually keep them in one place. Have a show, movie, or some mobile games ready to go for them and it will work like a charm. You can even have your photographer hold the device with a show playing while posing to keep the little ones looking at the camera.

#4 Let Them Be Wild

This is a great thing to let them do especially if your kid has a ton of energy and loves to run around. Best thing to do… Let them run and be wild! They keep themselves occupied and will likely get themselves tired and they will calm down after a few minutes

#5 Give Them a Job

This is perfect because it keeps them involved, attentive, and happy. Ask your photographer to give them a job while posing like ask them to tell your little one to say “1,2,3, cheese!” or tell them to help the photographer take the photos. This makes them feel important and thye’ll love it!
